Meet Tayshia
Tayshia has been with us at the shelter for 2 years, and prior to that we had supported her when she got an injury in the feral colony she was living in. Her injury has long since healed, and slowly over the course of her years at the shelter she is becoming less shy. Since Tayshia spent her formative years in the wild with cats, she trusts them more than she trusts us humans. While she may be scared of us, she is not aggressive. Tayshia is not bonded with any cats at the shelter but given her history we feel she would need a home with another feline, since that is her comfort zone, not people. Adopting Tayshia would mean giving her a safe, warm, secure place to live her life - and not necessarily getting a companion cat as part of the deal. But then again, with time and trust she may just have some companion cat qualities that could emerge.
