Tate's Story

dob: 9/5/23 Please welcome Tate, aka Tater, aka Tater Tot to adoptions. He’s the most lovable 14 pounder, about 1 year old, and gets along fine with other cats. Tate had a rough start as a kitten: found underneath a car in a parking lot, his left foot was so badly injured, some toes had to be amputated but he is completely fine and is not affected by it at all. Next, he caught an awful virus and had to be on medication for months. Thankfully, he survived, recovered and grew into a gorgeous cat whose personality is just lovely. We believe it’s time for Tate’s happily ever after. Lost Paws Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

Thank you for looking to adopt a cat or dog! We get many emails, applications and PetFinder Inquiries every day. As volunteers who also have families and full time jobs, we cannot get to them all immediately. Please allow 5-7 days for a decision to be made. Some animals get more applications than others which will make the process a bit longer. Lost Paws Animal rescue adopts and fosters within a 2hr radius of Raritan, NJ. Rare exceptions are made on a case by case basis to take into account any special needs an animal may have. When you sign the application, you understand that omission of information and/or failure to answer all questions and sign the application can result in the application being declined. Upon submission of the application, you give the rescue permission to investigate the information provided, including conducting a background check, as well as contact veterinarians and related officials. The adoption decision is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to the compatibility of the family and home to the individual pet, and other applications received on this pet. It is the rescue's sole prerogative to decide which home is most appropriate. It is our goal to place pets in loving, lifelong homes and any information gathered is used only to that interest. A member of our Adoption Committee will be in contact if you are approved.
