Tasha's Story

Tasha is approximately 7-9 months old and was surrendered by someone who ended up with intact young cats (a male and multiple females) that she couldn't care for. Tasha is now spayed and ready for a new life!

Tasha is a sweet girl, but grew up without getting a lot of socialization. She's not feral, but is shy. She's still getting used to attention and love from people. You can tell she wants affection, but is unsure how to go about it sometimes. She needs a patient, loving home with someone who's not only willing to give her time, but who's also willing to go out of their way to talk to her, pet and reassure her, give her treats, and overall work with her to help her come out of her shell and become her happiest self.

She wouldn't be a good for for kids. Other friendly cats should be okay. She hasn't lived with a dog but is young and could likely adapt to a dog that respects her space and wouldn't chase or scare her while she settles into her new home.

(All of our cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, de-wormed, tested for FeLV/FIV, and treated for fleas before adoption)

Our adoption application and policies can be found here:

www.secondchancear.org/adopt-1
