Tangerine's Story

Meet Tangerine, a cute, shy kitten who along with likely siblings Maya and Ash were found in a box on the busy side of a road. Thankfully, a good samaritan rescued them and got them into appropriate care. All three are now with us waiting for their forever home.

Tangerine is friendly but just a little shy at the moment. She and her siblings have been through a lot, like almost getting run over by a car, to being transported multiple places for care. Not unusual they are a little shell shocked. Tangerine within a few days has already begun to build confidence and is coming to visitors for pets. She needs to be reassured there are kind humans in this world and they are ready to help her and her siblings on their journey to find a loving home.

We believe that kittens are happiest when they have another kitty to play with so Tangerine will need to be adopted with another kitten like Maya or Ash or already have a young playful cat at home.

For the safety of our kittens and for children, we do not adopt kittens under six months old to a home with children under the age of 6.

Tangerine has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Her approximate birthdate is 07/04/2025. Her adoption fee is $120.

If you are interested in meeting Tangerine or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, please go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.

Thank you!
