Tandy's Story

Tandy was rescued as an unclaimed stray in East Erie at the end of last year. If we could speak cat, we are sure she would tell us all about her history and how she ended up in our care. She LOVES to talk with you and gently pat your arm while doing so. Tandy has been with us a long time and no one has picked her yet. She keeps to herself in the shelter environment, waiting in quiet desperation for the next "conversation" and attention from our volunteers. Due to the stress of all the kitties in the shelter - Tandy is looking for a home where she can ideally be the only cat - she has been in a foster home for a few months. Here's what her foster mom says:<br/><br/>"Tandy is such a delight for us humans, but she has not really warmed up much to our resident cats. She will coexist if the cat is on the other side of the bed and not moving (or not breathing, she would prefer). She is only 4 years old so still has playful moments that are hilarious, especially with her little toy mice. She has old grumpy lady energy mixed with super energetic bestie SPILL THE TEA, GIRL vibes. She's truly a wonderful companion. Tandy is super chill and wants to hang out near you but doesn't get in your business too much. HOWEVER, the minute you give her an ounce of attention, she jumps up and needs ALL the pets and will tell you a story (or two or three)! She walks away when she's had enough and is ready to just veg out with some treats and a nice breeze from an open window. Please someone adopt our Tandy girl! She's been waiting for months for someone to see her for the queen she is. She's ready for her castle to reign over!<br/><br/>She is fully vetted and combo negative. We would recommend a home without small children as Tandy can become afraid and defensive when handled too much.
