Meet TAMARA
AGE: 1 - 2 years
DESCRIPTION: DSH - Tortoiseshell
LOCATION: PETS Shelter (114 W Main Street) - Panora, IA
MY STORY:
People began noticing Tamara her sister, Tia, hanging out by a local bank. Passers by would give them little scraps of food and would often see them curled up together sleeping in a makeshift bed. As the weather turned cold and it didn't appear the girls had any place to go home to, a concerned citizen contacted us to get them some help.
Tamara and Tia couldn't be any friendlier or nicer if they tried. After just a few days to settle in to all the new sights and sounds of the shelter, they seem to fit right in. Tamara is a little more feisty but they are both very social and sweet. She is a low maintenance kitty that surprisingly has none of the "tortitude" that comes with so many other torties. LOL She looks just like her sister except that Tamara has a complete tortoiseshell coat without any of the white that Tia has.
MORE DETAILS:
Inside-only home and must keep claws. The adoption fee for this kitty is $25. Adopt a pair of kitties for $50. Each cat and kitten has been: altered (spayed/neutered), vaccinated (age-appropriate) - rabies and distemper combo, microchipped, tested for FeLV (negative unless previously noted), and treated for fleas, ear mites, and worms.
We ask that interested parties fill out a cat adoption questionnaire only if you are seriously considering adopting this sweet kitty. You can get the application by going to our website at "http://www.panorapets.com/adopt"
and clicking on the "Cat Adoption Questionnaire" button at the top of the page. Once you have submitted the questionnaire, an adoption coordinator will contact you usually within 24 hours. Please be patient and thank you for your interest in this kitty.
P.E.T.S. supports the "Paws Need Claws" Campaign. Cats are rather attached to their claws; please do not de-claw your cats.
