Tainy's Story

Hi, my name is Tainy! I’m a six-month-old male kitten rescued from La Perla, Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. I’m a very gentle, very sweet little guy, soft-spoken, affectionate, and full of purrs. I also have a playful side and absolutely love wet food! I get along great with other cats and would love to have a feline friend in my forever home. I was rescued along with my siblings Salsa and Mambo who are also offered for adoption right now. Oh, fun fact, I was named Tainy after the Puerto Rican music producer, because even though I’m small, I’ve got big personality and rhythm in my heart, which I cannot wait to bring to your life! Tainy is rescued and under the care of Save a Gato. His sister Salsa and broker Mambo are also being offered to be adopted with him as a pair. Any applicant needs to apply through the website of our organization https://www.saveagato.com/available-cats Although our cats are all located in Puerto Rico, they can fly to mainland US. We can usually find flight angels to bring the cat to you once you are approved for adoption. We don't charge for arranging the trip, but adopter are responsible for pet fee charged by airlines, which is usually $95 to $125 depending on the airlines.

Save A Gato's Adoption Policy

Any potential adopter should fill out an application form (for a specific cat or for general pre-approval). After we review the application, a phone interview will be arranged for the qualified applicants for final approval. After the approval the applicant may choose to visit our facilities or local petsmart/petco stores where our cats are located for adoption and meet the dream cat (if the adopter doesn't already have a particular cat in mind). Finally the adopter will sign the adoption contract, pay the adoption fee, pay refundable spay/neuter deposit (if applicable) and pick up the cat. If the adopter is located in a different location in the US than Puerto Rico, arrangement of delivering the cat will also be discussed. We can usually find flight angels to bring the cat to mainland US. We don't charge for arranging the trip, the cost of pet ticket is about $95-$125 depending the airline.
