She came to the southern shelter after her owner was evicted and she was left outside. Since then, she’s been adjusting to indoor life again. She enjoys attention and wants to be near people, but she may need a little time in a new home to fully relax. Once she’s comfortable, she leans into pets and clearly enjoys the interaction.<br/><br/>There may be moments when a hand coming toward her too quickly makes her nervous and she’ll hiss. It’s a quick reaction, not aggression. With a calm approach and a little patience, she settles and goes right back to being affectionate.<br/><br/>Sylvia would do best in a quiet home with no dogs and no children. Other cats, however, are not for her. Sylvia will need to be your only kitty so she doesn’t have to share space or attention.
