Sylvester appears to be a former pet who began showing up last summer and fall and quickly made himself known as a friendly, affectionate, and very vocal companion with people he trusts.<br/><br/>Sylvester currently lives outdoors, with access to a heated garage during cold weather. While he has used litter boxes when available, he has not lived fully indoors, so continued guidance and patience would be important if transitioning him inside. He could also do very well as an indoor/outdoor cat or a barn cat.<br/><br/>Sylvester is confident and energetic and does not get along with other cats, making him best suited for a single-cat home or a working barn setting. He is an excellent hunter and has proven himself skilled at pest control. When frightened or overstimulated while being held, he may nip, so a calm, cat-savvy home that respects his boundaries would be ideal.<br/><br/>Sylvester has been given de-wormer, which has helped with previous digestive issues, though he may need additional follow-up care.
