Sylvester's Story

We think Sylvester was born around July 21, 2026. He came into care at about three months old, so he is still learning that people can be trusted and that indoor life is a pretty good deal.

Sylvester is a sweet, gentle boy with a very curious nature. He tends to look at the world with enormous, wide eyes that always make him look surprised. His plush fur and stubby little legs make him look and feel like a cartoon kitty or stuffed animal. Even when he is nervous, his curiosity usually gets the better of him - while new things and people may make him nervous, he still feels compelled to investigate, which his foster finds both adorable and endearing.

Once the pets begin, though, Sylvester quickly starts to forget his worries. He rolls around for attention, purrs happily, and licks his foster in appreciation.

He is still a work in progress and will need a patient adopter who is happy to let him build confidence at his own pace. But underneath that cautious exterior is a very affectionate little cat who is already showing how loving he can be. If possible, Sylvester would love to be adopted with his brother Tweety so the two can continue growing up together. Sylvester would do best in a quiet, patient home, without dogs or young children.

NOTE 1: Spays, neuters, first vaccinations and vet checks are included in the adoption fee.

NOTE 2: Because a young kitten needs feline companionship, it is the policy of Cat Rescue Network that kittens 6 months or younger be adopted out in pairs unless there is another kitten or young cat already in the home.

NOTE 3: Cat Rescue Network only adopts their cats to homes in the National Capital region of Canada
