Elegant, cuddly, sweet gentleman kitty SYLVESTER is all you need in a lap cat. He loves to play with his catnip stuffie and bat his rolly-ball around, but his most favorite thing is to snuggle up with his favorite person and sleep on their hip or belly each night. This gorgeous, fluffy, black-and-white stunner is a gentle, quiet soul who prefers a peaceful home and a set routine where he can relax and mellow out with his human friends. Sylvester came into our rescue when the last member of his original adopting family died; he had lived with them more than 11 years. He prefers to be an only cat, but can be okay with other cats who will let him be the boss. He does not like dogs, and has not been around young children. SYLVESTER has some medical struggles which will require prescription food, daily medication (which he takes easily), on-going monitoring, and follow-up veterinary care. Our veterinary team has determined that he has a mild heart murmur and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) which will need on-going management. With proper diet, attention and medication, this lovely special-needs kitty will return your care and devotion many times over. SYLVESTER has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. The $70 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
