Sylus's Story
SYLUS was a stray cat trying to fit in with another colony. The dominant male in that colony wasn’t having it, however, and bullied Sylus to the point that he could not eat or sleep. He lost weight and had physical wounds as evidence of the abuse. This big boy has really come around. He likes to assert his authority, so he'd do best with a chill, submissive cat. Sylus LOVES to take walks on a harness/leash. He sets the pace and the destination, but needs to be steered away from the road. He cannot be left alone outside, but his walks are important to his happiness. He did test positive for FIV (Feline AIDS). He can live in a general population with FIV- cats, so please do your homework! The standard adoption fee is $120 cash or $125 debit/credit. This includes feline testing, vaccines, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and de-worming. You may complete an application to start the adoption process at www.stanlycountyhumanesociety.org, under the 'Adoption' tab. Like us on facebook at Stanly County Humane Society Cats.
