Swiftfoot's Story

Mr. Swiftfoot is still looking for his furever home. Don’t let the words “special needs” scare you away! Swiftfoot’s needs are relatively low maintenance.

Why does he wear a diaper? Swiftfoot has swimmer’s syndrome which causes him to drag his back legs some. Due to this, it can stimulate him to pee. So he wears a diaper while he’s out and about in the house.

How often do you change his diaper and what about poop? His diaper is changed about 2-3 times a day. We have learned that just like with a dog, we will give him a poop break, meaning we take the diaper off and let him go to the litter box.

Can he use the litter box? Yes! He is litter box trained! Low sided boxes are recommended as they are easier for him to get into. It will take some adjustment at first for him.

Does he get around okay? He sure does! He doesn’t let his Swimmer Syndrome slow him down. He loves to play and climb like any other normal kitten.

Swiftfoot has been neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. This sweet boy is full of love. All he wants to do is lay with you and cuddle, make biscuits, and purr all day and night long.

Interested in meeting him? Not a problem! We can set up meet and greets (in person or virtual) and you can ask his foster more in depth questions. Just send us a message to get something set up.
