Sweetie's Story

Seeking a challenge that is both rewarding and highly comedic? If you are single and have no other pets, are cat savvy and willing to risk the occasional, unwarranted, bite and be subject to a good amount of hissing and woofing, then look no further. Sweetie is the one for you!
Living with Sweetie could be compared to life with a teenage pageant diva combined with Dorothy from Golden Girls in cat form. She is a senior at 16 years young and has come a very long way in the last two years. It helps that she is highly treat motivated. She loves fresh catnip. Just steer clear afterwards as it also makes her a bit spicy. Worth it!
This lovely lady will steal your pillow the moment you get up, soaking in every bit of warmth. She is very smart! Have that camera handy. She takes some ridiculously cute photos. Scowl face, whiskers and fur akimbo. She is gorgeous and has a cute mark on her brow that reminds her foster mom of Harry Potter. Be prepared to be stared at. A lot.
Her fur is luxurious, however, she can not be bothered to groom herself or allow you to do it for her. Her foster mom is able to do a few brush strokes. It has taken a lot of effort to get to this point and with patience and many treats she will continue to improve. Her foster mom will be happy to share all her methods that have worked so far. She will need at least two to three full shaves each year. Her foster mom is hopeful that in the future it will not be needed, or perhaps only need a sanitary trim in future. Due to her feisty nature she will need sedation for vet visits and grooming to ensure that she stays calm and comfortable.
If you are willing to share your home with Sweetie on her terms, you will be richly rewarded. She makes her foster mom laugh daily. She is well worth the extra care and lack of cuddles. For more information please contact her foster mom at Annan@meowvillage.org Located in Dallas, Oregon
Note Meow Village is an all foster based rescue so any questions and inquiries related to the kitties should be directed to their foster families.
