Sweet Ums is a 7-year-old gray tabby Domestic Short Hair who truly lives up to her name. She is a gentle, affectionate girl who shows her love by rubbing against your ankles and curling up beside you on the couch. While she doesn’t enjoy being picked up, she’ll politely let you know with a soft meow and otherwise remains calm and sweet.<br/><br/>Sweet Ums is a shy soul and can be timid in loud or busy environments. When things feel overwhelming, she may hide, so she’s looking for a patient adopter who will gently encourage her to feel safe and confident exploring her home at her own pace. She gets along well with kids and would do best in a quiet household. <br/><br/>She prefers to be the only cat, as she does not do well with other cats and may hiss or hide when they are around.<br/><br/>Sweet Ums is fully litter box trained, has no ongoing medical issues, and enjoys the simple pleasures in life—treats, gentle pets, and brushing sessions. In return, she offers quiet companionship and loving presence. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on age-appropriate immunizations against rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus & panleukopenia). Some of our cats have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!
