Sweet Potato's Story

We are reaching out to find a special person and home for our little Sweet Potato. This young mom (she is barely past being a kitten herself) was found hiding out near a dumpster with her three kittens (you might remember Pumpkin, Spice & Latte?). All of her kittens have been adopted, but Sweet Potato is still looking for her own FURever home.

Sweet Potato is very settled into her safe foster home. A new home will need to be with someone who has patience and a very calm demeanour who can work to slowly build trust with Sweet Potato. Prior experience working with less socialized or feral cats is an asset, but not absolutely required - we can provide all of the training and guidance required.

Sweet Potato is a gentle girl who will swat if frightened. But she does not lunge or attack, and will purr when her foster mom rubs her head, neck, and sides. She just needs time and love.

Sweet Potato has been spayed, vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies), treated for fleas and parasites, microchipped, and tested for FIV / FeLV (negative).

We would welcome a long-term foster-to-adopt placement for Sweet Potato. This girl DESERVES a loving FURever home after the rough start she had. If you would like to make an appointment to meet Sweet Potato, please reach out - info@catsofsaltspring.com / 236-508-2287
