Sweet Potato's Story

Meet Sweet Potato! He is a rambunctious boy with tons of energy to play and lots of love to give. He always gets so excited to see our team and visitors coming to the facility. He likes to chase his toys, follow humans around, and be involved in whatever is happening. He is high energy and will need lots of space to run and play. This social and confident boy came to us as a stray back in October of 2025. We estimate that he is about a year old or so. Sweet Potato had a fractured tail that required an amputation shortly after joining us. He was neutered and tested for FELV, FIV, and heartworms at that time. All tests came back negative.

Sweet Potato is one of our cats with some extra care needed. He has weakened rectal muscles. While he is not 100% stool incontinent, he will need extra cleaning in regards to his litter box and a high fiber diet to keep his stool firm. He has hopped out of the litter box before he's completely done going. He has had to have his back end wiped down regularly but he is very cooperative with our staff when it comes to getting cleaned up.

He has not been tested with dogs in our care. He will require a very slow introduction to other cats and any cat he lives with will need to be very tolerant of his high energy and rough playstyle. He is neutered, microchipped, and has been fully vaccinated.
