Sweet Pea's Story
We don’t know what Sweet Pea endured in her first few months of life. She was found curled up in a set of tire tracks in the snow. There were no cat tracks where she had walked in the snow, so she had obviously been dumped. Her nose was bloody and an empty tuna can filled with snow was lying in the other tire track. When the person who would become Sweet Pea’s foster found her by chance (stopping at the community mailbox), Sweet Pea did not get up but cried for helped and attention.

When Sweet Pea’s foster picked her up, it was obvious that the poor girl was in very rough condition as her ribs were easily felt. All Sweet Pea wanted to do on the drive to her new foster home was to lie on her foster’s chest. When they arrived home, her foster cleaned the blood off Sweet Pea’s face and got her some food before she took a long nap.

Sweet Pea got her name because of her tiny frame and sweet nature. It took some time for her to settle in and start acting like the kitten she should be, but once she realized she had found a safe place to land, she started to play.

Sweet Pea has developed a routine involving mandatory snuggle time a couple times a day where she curls up in her foster’s arms for love and attention.

Sweet Pea would do best in a forever home that has at least one other young cat for her to play with.

Sweet Pea has her spay appointment in early February and is hoping to have an approved forever home waiting for her as soon as she's ready.

Please consider adopting Sweet Pea into your loving home.
