Sweet Bonded Pair - Hiram & Anna's Story

Mama Mabel and her three little ones came to us when this family of 4 had 3 four week old kittens. They had a slow start so we placed them with our baby kitten foster. They are now back with us at the rescue, functioning as three healthy, active, and adorable kittens! Mom is here also. Mom is gentle and curious and once she warms up to you she likes the attention. She is fixed and waiting her assignment when she will move to her forever home. Mom is very laid back, friendly, but not used to a lot of attention. Most homeless cats are focused on survival not socialization. Once she has a home and realizes she can enjoy her life with a family and a house, she may become surprisingly social. Otherwise, we just consider her a low maintenance companion.

Meet the kits:

UPDATED- pending adoption-Emma - Cute, sweet, playful. Need we say more?

Anna - Is a stunning long haired kitten With an extra long MANE - you would probably think she would be a male but she is not! She is shy, and seems to be always looking for one of her litter mates or her mother. We previously had Anna listed on Petfinder with an overwhelming response. We decided to hold off and evaluate her social progress. After watching her, we have determined that it is definitely in her best interest to be adopted along with her brother Hiram.

Hiram has more of a medium length hair. He is also very shy. He definitely is a mama's boy and would be perfectly fine being adopted along with his mother, Mabel. He will do fine being adopted along with his sister Anna. Because we believe Anna will do better adopted as half of a pair, we are placing Anna and Hiram available only as a bonded pair. Mom will do just fine on her own.

We definitely want to find a home where the adopters understand the care required for long haired kittens/cats. We also want to make sure that it is a home that understands this pair needs patience and encouragement to feel safe and be able to play and socialize. Mother Mabel was a very very protective mom. Perhaps because when they were kittens they had a very tough time and grew slowly. They are now big beautiful gorgeous kittens but are used to so much time with their mom and hands on even bottle feeding attention from their previous foster, that they still need more time to build confidence as independent kittens.

If you are interested in any of our cats or kittens- please click the PetFinder Inquiry link. That is the fastest way to begin communicating with us! We also encourage you to follow our Facebook page, Last Litter Rescue, to see kittens before they appear on PetFinder! If you have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please contact us directly at last.litter.rescue@gmail.com. Remember to check your spam folder, and if you get an error message from PetFinder when attempting to inquire about one of our kittens- please contact us directly!

Last Litter Rescue (LLR) works to rescue, foster, fix, and find forever homes for kittens that were born to a homeless mother cat. We also have an effort known as Purr-fect Love TNR and we work alongside other select TNR groups and a network of kitten fosters to reduce the homeless feline population. We value born and prenatal kittens. Animal welfare is one of five areas that our parent organization Love Give Live works in to relieve suffering and promote wholeness.
