Sweet Basil's Story

Basil is an absolute joy and a one-in-a-million young cat. She is always in a good mood and gets along with every other cat she's ever come in contact with. She's very goofy and loves people and her feather wand. She is always ready to play and will drag her feather wand around the house or lead you to it. Besides chasing her feather, she loves to run around the house and be chased (by cats or people), and watching birds outside the window. We guarantee anyone who is lucky enough to adopt Basil will be blessed with lots of laughs, love, and joyful companionship - her endless enthusiasm will brighten your day!<br/>Basil would love a home with another playful cat or dog to be friends with. She would also be an excellent companion for a child to entertain. She's very affectionate, but not clingy, and will sleep up against you or between your legs at night. But she's not a fan of being picked up and held because heights are a bit disorienting for her because of an old injury to her right eardrum that left her partially deaf in that ear. San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition's Adoption Policy
Although our primary mission is to work on feral cat issues, we devote considerable time to adopting out TAME kittens and adult cats. In order to better manage the feral cat population, friendly cats and kittens are removed from the streets, placed with fosters, and spay/neutered before placing them up for adoption. Young kittens born to feral cats are ideally left with their mom until they are ready for weaning. They are then placed in a foster home, socialized, and spayed/neutered prior to being put up for adoption. Our rescued tame cats are all privately fostered in homes throughout the San Antonio metro area.
