Suzie's Story

Suzie is a sweet little girl who came to Max's Hope after she was found as a small kitten in a wooded area with difficulty breathing. Suzie was found to have a cuterebra (botfly larvae) in her neck, and a bad case of pneumonia. After several months of treatment and monitoring, Suzie finally got well.

Suzie has now been with us for 4 years. She is very shy and will spend the first several weeks in a new place hiding out, but once she knows you are safe (and deliver snacks), she will want booty scritches and unconditional love every time she sees you. Suzie is great with other cats, but she is not a fan of kids and chaotic environments. She has never been around dogs.

Suzie does require a prescription food that she is on after being treated for bladder stones, but is overall in very good health. She would love a family of her own!

Adoption fee: $30

Applications: www.maxshope.com

Please include your veterinarian name, number and the name your current pets are listed under. Also please check your information carefully. All current pets must be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Dogs must be on heart worm preventative. Our adoptable cats must live inside and adopters must agree not to declaw. If these criteria are not met, we will not process your application.

Adoption Process: This is not a first come, first serve organization. We will do our best to process applications within 48 business hours of receiving them. The application must be completed in full including first and last name, complete address including city and state, complete veterinarian information (this will be checked and all pets must be neutered or spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and dogs must be current on heartworm prevention) and the name of all current pets in the household.
We are 100% volunteers and I will not subject anyone who is giving of themselves and their time to hostile conversations. Please be patient with us. We are not paid for our endless hours and are looking for the BEST home for the babies in our care. We will process your information and an email will be sent to the email you provide.
