Sushi and Sashimi 's Story

Meet Sushi & Sashimi — a bonded tuxedo duo full of personality, affection, and playful charm.

Sushi is the dramatic diva of the pair and a true little survivor. Rescued alone from the streets as a tiny kitten, she has blossomed into a confident, affectionate queen who loves playtime and being near her people. She leaps for wand toys, perches in high spots to supervise her world, and happily curls up beside you when she’s ready for cuddles. Sushi is wonderfully expressive—she’ll trill, check in on you, and occasionally hop onto the bed for a quick snuggle before continuing her royal duties. Her black nose and paws complete her classic tuxedo elegance.

Sashimi, her devoted brother, is the calm and gentle counterpart. Independent yet deeply loving, he enjoys lounging nearby, watching the world from windowsills, and staying close to Sushi. He’s playful and bold, often initiating games and parkour sessions, but he’s also her protector—frequently grooming her and keeping her company. Sashimi loves pets, especially chin scratches, and will approach with soft trills and sweet, high-pitched meows. His pink nose and paws add to his soft, endearing charm.

Together, Sushi and Sashimi share a beautiful bond built on trust, companionship, and love. They groom each other, nap side-by-side, and communicate with adorable trills throughout the day. Both are highly social, active, and love following their person around, always eager to be part of whatever you’re doing. Despite their playful energy, they tolerate handling well and cooperate calmly with care like nail trims.

These inseparable siblings balance each other perfectly—Sushi brings the drama and affection, while Sashimi brings calm devotion and sweetness. They must be adopted together and will reward their future family with endless entertainment, companionship, and love.

If you are interested in adopting Sushi and Sashimi, please fill out our adoption application here https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CCRN/Cat

The Cat Collective Rescue NY's Adoption Policy
All adopters complete an application, a short interview, a home check (virtual or in-person), and references so we can ensure the best possible match for both the cat and the family. We carefully consider household dynamics — including other pets, children, lifestyle, and experience — to help make placements that are safe, successful, and lasting. Adoption is a lifelong commitment (often 15–20 years), and if a match doesn’t work out, the cat must be returned to our rescue — never rehomed independently or surrendered elsewhere. Declawing is not permitted. The adoption fee helps cover spay/neuter, vaccinations, testing, microchipping, and medical care; it is a contribution toward the cat’s care, not a purchase. We believe normal cat behaviors like scratching, climbing, and adjustment periods are part of the journey, and we’re here to support you — including check-ins after adoption to help ensure a smooth transition.
