Sadly, her adoptive mom has since passed away, and her adoptive dad has moved into assisted living. While Susan is comfortable in her current foster home, it isn’t quite the perfect forever fit for her, so she’s hoping to find her next soft, calm landing place — a home where she can settle in and enjoy the quiet lifestyle she’s accustomed to.

Susan would prefer to be the only cat (and ideally the only pet) in her home. That said, she may be able to coexist peacefully with an easygoing, uninterested male cat or a smaller, calm dog. She isn’t interested in playing with other pets and would much rather have her own space and the opportunity to connect with her people.

Susan isn’t a fan of being picked up, so she would do best with older, respectful teenagers rather than young children. She has excellent house manners, reliably uses her litter box, and happily uses her scratching posts.

Susan has had a couple of teeth removed, so she does best with smaller-sized kibble along with wet food that meets her discerning standards. She has a healthy appetite and eats well.

While Susan isn’t quite a traditional lap cat, she absolutely enjoys human companionship. She loves giving little hugs and being close to her people in her own way. She’s a sweet girl who has plenty of love to give and is looking for someone who will appreciate her gentle, independent personality.

Susan is currently up to date on her vaccines, and her next wellness exam isn’t due until April.

If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who would be happy to simply share your home and your life, Susan may be the perfect girl for you.

Adoption fee is $175 dollars.

An approved application and an appointment is required.

If interested in meeting Toasty, please submit an application by copying/pasting this link into your browser: She is located in Olympia, WA

https://rescueaware.com/application.asp?c=12001
