Susan's Story

Hi, I'm Susan. My brother Bobby and I were found in an old house, but we didn't just wander there. One night, under the shimmering moonlight, a kind fairy noticed us lost in the woods and guided us to the safety of that house. She promised it would be a temporary haven until we found our forever home. Here at the shelter, I've shown how gentle and friendly I am. I love quiet moments and gentle pets. If you're looking for a calm companion to share serene days with, I'm the perfect cat for you.

Note from Paws humans: Susan and Bobby were found living in an abandoned house and were taken by a good Samaritan to a local veterinarian. Our shelter works with this veterinarian, and we regularly take in cats and kittens that are left there. Susan and Bobby have been through a lot, but Susan is very friendly and ready for a new home. Bobby was clearly more traumatized by being abandoned, but he's sweet. He will just need a little more time than her to adjust. To apply to adopt any of our cats or kittens, please visit our website and fill out our on-line application at https://www.pawsurbana.org/apply-to-adopt.

Paws Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
We do not do same-day adoptions, as we have an adoption application which must be completed and verified. We do not allow declawing of any of our animals even after they are adopted, and you must sign a contract agreeing to this (we sometimes take cats in who have already been declawed). We also require that all of the cats and kittens adopted from us must be kept exclusively indoors.
