Sunshine's Story

Meet Sunshine, a friendly, loving orange tabby girl. This wonderful kitty has had some hard luck. Her first owner became unhoused so Sunshine returned to Second Chance. Second time, her new owner added additional cats into the household which in turn became very anxiety producing for poor Sunshine to the point her owner chose to surrender her. We are hoping three times the charm for this sweet kitty.

Like the late singer John Denver would sing "Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy".....well, our Sunshine would rather be next to you or on your lap rather than your shoulders, so it's a win win for both you and she. Sunshine is currently in foster care and her foster Mom has this to say "Sunshine loves spending time in her window bed. She is very affectionate, spending time in someone's lap. She is also playful. Her toys are in a bag and she picks out the one she wants". This girl is not only a cuddle bug she is smart. No worry for you to decide on a toy she'll do it for you! How great is that?

Sunshine will need to be an only cat but because she is so amazing, one cat is all you'll want. Sunshine would be great for a single person or couple looking for a couch friend. Sunshine could do fine with a family with older respectful kids interested in giving her affection and play time.

Sunshine is currently in foster care so if you'd like to meet this gem, please fill out an application and once approved a meet and greet will be set up to visit in her foster home.

Sunshine has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Sunshine has an approximate birthdate of 10/25/2019. Her adoption fee is $95.

If you are interested in Sunshine or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.

Thank you!
