Sunny is a 2-year-old boy who almost didn't get the chance to show anyone what a sweetheart he is. He was in imminent danger of euthanasia when Huey's Rescue stepped in to save him. When he first arrived in his foster home, Sunny was absolutely terrified and completely shut down. It took time, patience, and a lot of love-but slowly, this scared little guy began to realize he was safe.<br/><br/>And what a transformation it's been! Sunny's foster mom describes him as the most affectionate cat she's ever known. He is happiest curled up in someone's lap, soaking up every bit of attention he can get. FIV affects a cat's immune system, but an FIV diagnosis does not mean a cat is sick or has a short life expectancy. Many FIV-positive cats live happy, healthy lives and can make it well into old age. FIV is primarily transmitted through deep bite wounds between cats and cannot be transmitted to people, dogs, or other animals. Because we don't yet know how Sunny feels about living with other cats, we think he'd do best as the only cat in his home or with another FIV-positive cat.<br/><br/>Sunny has already overcome so much. The frightened cat who once hid away has blossomed into an incredibly loving lap cat who simply wants to be adored. Now he's looking for someone who will give him the forever home he almost never got the chance to find.
