Summer #loves-head-scratches's Story

LOVES TO SNEAK UP ON TOYS LIKE WILD HUNTRESS

DOB 10/1/24

Hey there, everyone! I’m Summer, a sweet, calm, gentle, and playful “bicolor” gal, which means that I’m mostly white except for soft brown tabby on my head, back, and tail. My natural eyeliner and lipstick give me a glamorous look, if I do say so myself! I adore sharing quiet moments with Foster Meowmy – especially when she gently scratches my ears, chin, and cheeks. Boy howdy! Does that ever feel good! I’m barely more than a kitten myself, so I have a playful side that loves to sneak up on toys like a wild little huntress.

When my momma Winter was just one year old, she gave birth to me at an apartment complex in southwest Houston. Like momma, like daughter – when I was only seven months old, Winter and I gave birth to a total of nine kittens on the very same day in May! We merged our two litters so none of the kits know which of us is their momma or grandma. Winter and I raised our kittens together as true partners to insure that our kittens got the nonstop love and nurturing they needed to thrive.

When the kits were six weeks old, a kind HOPE volunteer rescued all eleven of us and brought us into foster care. Unfortunately, the kits were infected with a waterborne parasite called giardia, so they were skinny and dehydrated. Bless Foster Meowmy and HOPE because a prescription cured the giardia, and now all our beautiful kits are fat, healthy, and full of playful energy.

Now that I’m permanently retired from motherhood, I’m ready to help my forever family learn how to relax and chill out after a hard day at the office. Or perhaps you are retired and just need a peaceful, loving companion to share your quiet moments. In either situation, we might have a lot of fun side-by-side on the sofa as we binge on Netflix and Animal Planet. You just have to promise occasionally to scratch the sweet spots on my head to make my ecstasy complete. And keep a basket of toys handy so that I can pounce on crinkle balls and catnip mice. A feathered wand toy would be a special bonus! Arrange to meet me today!

HOPE ID 25-0609-S039

Summer’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites.

To apply online: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php

If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Summer will be this week-end, email us at nancy.e.kline@hotmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you.
