Summer's Story

** In order to adopt a kitten from HSMC, you must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "foster to adopt" the kitten and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the kitten back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery**

This little lady is Summer. This precious little girl was found as a sick, stray kitten and brought to the shelter for help finding her wonderful forever home. Summer has an estimated birthdate of 4/23/25, so she's just a few months old. Sweet Summer is a laid back girl who does a lot of observing of the other kittens. She thinks about things before just jumping in like the other kitties. She LOVES watching the other kitties play, and then when the time is right, she pounces right into the middle of the action. She is a little on the shy side until she realizes that she can trust people, but she usually does warm up. Summer is currently living in a foster home with other kitties and a dog, and is having so much fun! This little cutie would LOVE to be adopted with another kitten, as she is a bit on the shy side and other kittens help her feel more confident. Small kittens do best in pairs and no one can play with a kitten the way another kitten can! Kittens raised in pairs are happier, more well adjusted and have less behavioral problems. Plus you're saving two lives instead of one! This little sweetheart would do well in any home setting, and would do just fine with other kitties or cat friendly, and gentle dogs. Summer would love to have kids to play with as well. Would you like to meet the sweet Summer and hopefully another kitten too? If so, please complete an application and once approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet! Remember that this cutie is in a foster home and not at the shelter, so you must schedule a meet and greet!

West Jefferson, Ohio
#hsmcohio

Our adoption fee is $100.00 for kittens up to 6 months of age and $80 for cats 7 months and older. It includes: a microchip, spay or neuter, set of shots, de-worming, and a 1-year rabies vaccine (if old enough). Fees can be made by cash or credit card. Please go to our website, www.hsmcohio.org to fill out an application.
