Sultan's Story

Sultan is a handsome, thoughtful boy who has known what it means to be part of a family. He spent most of his life in a home with three children, where he was loved and well cared for. Unfortunately, due to severe allergies, he was rehomed through no fault of his own.
After that transition, Sultan was adopted again, but his quiet, sensitive nature was misunderstood. When he didn't show instant affection, he was surrendered to the humane society after just three months. Despite these changes, Sultan has shown incredible resilience.
It took him about two weeks to decompress, and now his personality is shining through. He can often be found lounging on the sofa, perched on his cat tree watching the world go by, or happily enjoying a good brushing-always on his terms. Once he feels safe, he truly relaxes. He will come by for pets but he is not a lay on your lap type of cat or sleep on your bed; he likes his space. He doesn't love to be picked up but will tolerate it when he trusts you. Once you get him in the carrier, he is a little scared at the vet but lets the vet do what they need easily.
Sultan is a classic easy going cat: he sleeps about 15-16 hours a day, rotating between a few favorite cozy spots. When it's breakfast or dinner time, he'll let you know with his charming little conversations. Chicken is his favorite food flavor. He likes to play and loves when foster mom gets out the laser pointer, he loves chasing the red dot! He also likes dangling toys on a string.
Foster mom doesn't know how Sultan is with other cats. He currently lives peacefully with a 6 pound Chihuahua, and they respectfully coexist, giving each other space-showing he could do well with calm, respectful pets.
Sultan would thrive in a quiet, patient home with someone who understands that love doesn't always come instantly-but when it does, it's deeply rewarding. He's perfect for an adopter who appreciates a gentle companion who blossoms with trust.
This beautiful blue point Siamese with gorgeous blue eyes is about 6 and 1/2 years old (born 6/7/2019). He is up to date on all medical, including neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and combo tested for FIV/FeLV (results are negative).
Fostered in Irvine
