Suki ---Community Courtesy Post---'s Story

Suki is a stunning 3-year-old Tortoiseshell cat, with some strict personality boundaries and a tendency for love-bites. When Suki gets overstimulated or too excited, she will use her teeth, nip, or swat. Because of this, she is absolutely not a fit for homes with children, other pets, or first-time owners. We are rehoming her because our family situation is changing and her stimulation needs and boundaries are something we need to plan ahead for.

Suki is essentially an athlete in a cat's body. If you want a lazy lap cat who sleeps all day, she is not your girl. But if you want a cat who is incredibly smart, present, and wants to be actively involved in everything you do, she is unmatched.

THE SUKI SPECS
- Full-Contact Play: Suki requires multiple structured play sessions every single day. We are talking wand toys, lasers, and puzzle feeders.
- Creative Boredom: If she gets bored, she will find ways to get your attention, like rattling closed doors to slam them repeatedly or testing her claws on the TV.
- Single-Pet Queen: Suki is a bit of a bully with other cats, stealing food and nap spots. She must be the only pet in the household.
- Bold and Brave: Normal deterrents like motion-activated sprays do not phase her. She needs active redirection and structure.

THE IDEAL ADOPTER
We are looking for an experienced cat owner (ideally a single person or a couple) who works from home or has the dedicated time to give her the play routine she needs.

When her energy is directed correctly, Suki is incredibly rewarding, sweet, and loves to show affection in quiet moments. She just needs someone who understands her spicy boundaries and can give her the high-stimulation lifestyle she deserves."

If you are interested in learning more about Suki, please contact her caregiver, Jack Pippett (jack@pippett.me).

***Community Courtesy Posts are provided to private members of our community who are looking to rehome their pet. We encourage all private parties seeking to rehome their pet to have their animal spayed/neutered and vaccinated prior to adoption; however, Desert Paws Rescue is not responsible for ensuring that those recommended services are completed. The pets profile and photos are provided.
