Meet Sugar

Sugar came to Paws Fur Life with her sister Spice in June when she was about 6 weeks old. She is about 6 months old now. Sugar enjoys attention as long as she can sit on the cat tree, the floor, or a surface other than a lap while she is getting it. In recent weeks, her foster discovered that Sugar is perfectly happy to hop onto a lap if she is being offered a Churu lickable treat.

Recently, she was adopted and returned. We learned some valuable information about what kind of home Sugar would prefer. Sugar’s perfect home will have no dogs and no young children to startle her. She has never shown the slightest bit of aggression but is easily startled. She would like a quiet home where she can relax and be loved on by her humans. She would like the company of another friendly feline. Her recent adoption showed us that she can adapt to new people and new felines given proper introductions. The family loved her but they knew their home wasn’t the right fit for her. The experience did give her a boost of confidence, and she is much more relaxed in her foster home now.

Sugar is medium-haired. Her hair is very silky and fine, and the hair on her tail and ears is long. Her coat will require some brushing.

Sugar can often be found napping on a cat bed or tree in a cozy corner, eating, or playing with the kittens she likes best. She likes to explore her foster home and chase her sister Spice around. She also enjoys a gentle wrestling match with her pal Roxie who is blind.

She adores the two adult female cats in her foster home and gravitates towards them most....especially Coral (also available for adoption). She gets along with all the felines in her foster home.

She would love to have a forever home with a friendly adult cat or one of the other kittens from her foster home. Sugar would also do fine in a home as a single feline with people that are home a lot to give her attention. She has been exposed to the small dog in her foster home, but she would be happiest in a home without small children and without dogs.
