Stromboli's Story
Meet Stromboli - the Former Street King Turned Aspiring Couch Potato. If you’re looking for a cat with character, presence, and enough fluff to keep a whole household warm, allow us to introduce Stromboli (known on the streets as Kitty Kitty).

For at least two years, Stromboli ruled the outdoors with his signature blend of grit and charm. But after attentive care from his rescue and foster mom including consistent meals, slow-earned trust, cozy winter setups, and gentle love, he’s decided he’s finally ready for something new: Retirement. Indoors. Preferably with snacks.

Stromboli is an extra-large, extra-huggable, approx. 17 lbs of pure tomcat glory. He is a reformed street tough guy with a developing soft side His hobbies include bird-watching from a window perch, lounging like a loaf, belly-up naps (but only if you’ve earned the privilege). He’s even starting to play with the fishing pole and the laser pointer!

Stromboli has clearly known love before—but he’s also known the not-so-nice parts of outdoor life, so he can startle if you move too fast for head pets. Once he settles in, though, he’s affectionate, sweet, and learning he’s allowed to relax. Like many former outdoor cats, he sometimes gets a little overstimulated and will give you a gentle “hey, I need a minute” swipe. Respectful humans encouraged. And if you happen to receive the sacred Stromboli Belly Offering, just know, you’ve been chosen! Be grateful, but don’t overstay your welcome.

His ideal home is one with a calm, patient adopter who understands that trust is earned, not rushed. A home where he can be the one and only cat while he decompresses (he’s been a little grumpy with foster siblings but never aggressive—just a guy working through his past). Windows! Perches! Sunbeams! He loves reliving his street-kitty days from the safety and warmth of indoors.

Why Adopt Stromboli? Because behind that big, burly exterior is a cat with a surprisingly tender heart—one who has worked hard to transition from surviving to thriving. With a little patience and a lot of love, Stromboli will become your loyal, goofy, oversized house panther. If you’re ready to give a big boy a second chance at a soft life, Stromboli is ready to come home.

Stromboli is a male, lynx point Siamese cat. His estimated date of birth is November 27, 2021. Stromboli is fully vetted and has an adoption fee of $110. You can apply online for him at https://arftulsa.wufoo.com/forms/arf-cat-adoption-application/ PLEASE READ ALL REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO APPLYING.

Note: ARF reserves the right to deny any application that is deemed unsuitable for the animal. Please be aware that our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the animals that fall under our care. We do not ship our animals. All adopters are expected to come to Tulsa if approved.

For details on how to adopt please visit http://www.arftulsa.org/adopt.
