Story's Story

This girl amazes me. We heard her screams from being stuck 20 feet down a well. She immediately began working with us to help her out. She was jumping toward us and trying to grab on to anything we lowered down. When we finally got her out I thought she would run, but she clung to me instead and would not let go. She was skinny and starving, and SO grateful to be saved. She is one smart kitty!
She has gotten a clean bill of health and is back to a normal weight for her age (about 5 months).
She jumps on my lap and wants to just sit there. It's the best feeling to know how reassured she is by being close as she soaks up the love and realizes she will never be harmed again (I strongly suspect she was put in the well). She is not needy though and will also makes herself content on her bed, and explores the house bravely, even with other cats and dogs here. She truly is so brave and smart! She will do well in any house with or without other calm animals. Young children are not advised because she can get overstimulated by a lot of activity. That of course will likely change as she settles in more, so if you have children that can give her time to adjust, it can totally work.
