Stormie's Story

Stormie is a gentle, shy sweetheart who blossoms into a playful lap cat once she feels safe and loved.

Stormie is a sweet, gentle girl with a curious side that begins to shine once she feels safe and comfortable. While she may be a little shy at first, Stormie quickly warms up in a calm home and reveals her playful personality. She especially loves lasers, wand toys, and chasing spring toys or little mice around the house. For someone willing to give her a little time, watching Stormie grow in confidence and choose you as her person is incredibly rewarding.

When she’s not busy playing, Stormie is happiest curled up with her people. She adores lap time and will gladly settle on top of you for a cozy nap any time of day. At night, she may even snuggle her way under the covers to be close to her favorite human. Her foster mom says that when she was home sick, Stormie stayed close by and proved to be the very best cuddle companion. As an adult cat, Stormie has already grown out of the wild kitten phase, making her a wonderful choice for someone looking for companionship without the nonstop kitten chaos.

Stormie came to ARF as an adult and was suffering from severe stomatitis, a painful condition affecting the gums. To help her live a comfortable, healthy life, she had the majority of her teeth removed. The good news is that cats do wonderfully without teeth, and Stormie is now on the mend and feeling much better. To help keep her gums healthy and her body well hydrated, she does best on a wet food diet, which many cats enjoy and is easy to maintain as part of a normal feeding routine.

Stormie would likely do best in a calm home with someone patient who will give her a little time to settle in and build confidence. Because she enjoys having her people to herself, she may be happiest as the only pet in the home.

Stormie’s estimated birth date is April 9, 2023. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and fully vetted. The adoption fee is $90.

Stormie is a female white and gray tabby Domestic Shorthair and can be adopted outside the immediate Tulsa area.
