STITCH's Story
APRIL 2026

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email.

It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.

The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.

STITCH was rescued from the Ramona Humane Society back in 2018. He was found as a singleton kitten on the street in San Jacinto, California. We saved him, got him fully vetted and he got adopted. Then 7 years later we get a call that he was living in a feral cat colony, skinny and starving. We were never able to find his family.

Meet STITCH, a confident and cuddly gray tabby from San Jacinto, California, whose heart is as big as his personality—and whose favorite place to be is right in your arms.

STITCH isn’t shy about telling you what he wants, and what he wants most is your attention. This affectionate guy thrives on cuddles, head rubs, and quality time with his favorite human. He’s the kind of cat who will follow you from room to room, curl up beside you (or on you), and nudge you gently if he thinks you're forgetting just how special he is. And don’t be surprised if he asks to be carried—yes, STITCH loves the royal treatment and isn’t afraid to ask for it.

Playtime is another one of his favorite pastimes. Whether it's chasing feather toys or batting around a crinkly ball, STITCH has a kitten-like energy that sparks to life when toys are involved. But his love doesn't stop at games—he’s also a serious connoisseur of wet food. and you’ll instantly have his full attention.

Though STITCH has lived much of his life with people, recent events have left him searching for a new beginning. Despite everything, he’s remained sweet, open-hearted, and incredibly resilient. He should do well with another friendly cat companion after a slow and respectful introduction—he’s not looking for drama, just more love to go around.

What STITCH needs is a home where cuddles are plentiful, laps are warm, and love is freely given. He’s not just a cat—he’s a little gray shadow, a playful buddy, and a loyal companion all rolled into one soft, purring package.

Could you be the one to give STITCH the kind of loving home he's always dreamed of?

STITCH is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TABBY MIX. He is about 7 year and 11 months old. He is good with cats and is non-reactive to dogs. He has never been around children.

STITCH is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)
2.
