Stewie's Story
Introducing a heroic story of bravery, perseverance and triumph...the story of STEWIE! STEWIE is a distinguished, handsome tuxedo kitty. STEWIE has a combination of soft, black fur atop his head, sides of his face, back and tail. Milky-white fur adorns the center of his face, proud chest, underbelly and all four paws. Our vet staff estimates STEWIE to be a mature adult approximately between eight to ten years old.

STEWIE has quite the amazing rescue tale to be told! We first heard about STEWIE when a kind, caring Good Samaritan noticed he showed up one freezing, bitterly frigid morning in her backyard. It was utterly obvious, this poor guy was desperate and in dire need of help. The concerned, compassionate Good Samaritan believes he came to her that day seeking rescue and wanting to be saved from a future fate that seemed all too grim. STEWIE was humanely trapped and urgently evaluated and assessed by our skilled vet staff. Upon intake, we knew immediately there was something very wrong with STEWIE'S mouth. After his sedated oral exam, we became aware of the severity and extent of his mouth issue. STEWIE"S lower jaw skin and tissues had torn away from his mandibular bone (lower jawbone). STEWIE would need to undergo a surgical procedure known as mandibular avulsion repair/reconstruction to ensure he feel better and have the chance at a happy and healthy future life. STEWIE'S comprehensive mouth surgery was a success. After a few weeks of much needed rest and recovery, consistent aftercare meds, a soft food diet only, and successful suture removal...STEWIE feels like a million bucks! STEWIE'S transformation is nothing short of remarkable! Cats like STEWIE remind us just how resilient these animals can be. Besides being cute and adorable, STEWIE is a lover...not a fighter. STEWIE is calm with a sweet demeanor. Although he can be shy at times, a nurturing and encouraging environment will allow him to thrive. STEWIE gladly welcomes attention, affection and thoroughly enjoys being pet. This gentle, grateful, deserving soul has survived and endured so much on his own in his former outdoor street life, now is his time to shine and have a second chance at a happy, healthy, safe and stable indoor-only life from now on with an amazing person or family who are ready to cherish this golden boy well into his senior years.

Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FeLV/FIV tested negative, Flea prevention applied and Microchipped.

If you'd like to meet STEWIE, or any of our adoptable cats or kittens, please fill out an Adoption Form found in the link: https://pawswatch.org/adoptions/
