Stewart's Story

Hi! I'm Stewart, and I'm a big boy (although, admit it, I'm also adorable). I'm the only survivor of six littermates. I was adopted in October 2018, but I was returned to foster care in March 2020 when my former-forever-mom had a new baby. I like my foster Auntie, but I really want a forever home of my own, one without other older cats and tiny humans. I'm cautious with new people, and you'll have to be patient with me as I adjust.

Once I get to know you, I'll be the best furbaby ever. I like to play, especially with paracord and the little trilling bird that refuses to die. Auntie says I'm a friendly, high-energy kitty (evidently, I run and jump like popcorn), yet I can be quite chill. My fur is super soft, and I love to be petted--belly rubs are invited. I like sitting next to (and sleeping with) my humans, but I really, really, really don't like being held or confined. Sorry. I'm also fairly vocal with little meows and adorable noises and full-body-purrs. Auntie also says I'm very helpful in the bathroom. I love catnip and silver vine. Oh, and I almost forgot I love UP--up at the windows, up in my cat tree, up in a chair--anywhere I can see everything around me. And sunspots, oooh, I love nice rosy-cosy sunspots.

Auntie says I have to tell you all the things I don't like (for a fool-diss-close-your). I don't like driving in the car (and I'll tell you all about it), I'm not leash-trained, I don't fetch (really!? I'm not a dog), I'm not territorial, I might try to get outside, I don't like to get wet, and, it bears repeating, I don't like to be held or confined. I won't hurt you if you pick me up, I might even tolerate it for a minute, but eventually I will yowl and squirm to jump to the floor. I also know I'm not supposed to go on the tables and counters, but sometimes I forget in my excitement to explore whatever's on them.

I know I'm not purrfect, but I try. So if you're ready for a sweet kitty who likes to run and play and chill, I'm ready for a forever home. Maybe yours?

Interested in adopting Stewart or one of our other wonderful kitties?
