Steve's Story

Steve is a friendly guy with a former hard life as a streetcat (hence his FIV pos status) but now he is a pampered housekitty with no desire to go back outdoors. He gets along with the other cats and dogs in his foster home, and he is friendly and affectionate. He would very much enjoy having a cat sibling to cuddle up with. He likes string toys, catnip and cozy blankets for making biscuits. He would love to sleep with you and curl up for a petting session! <br/><br/>* Cats that are positive for FIV can live with other cats (and other pets such as dogs) with no/extremely low risk of transmission as long as all cats in the home are fixed and there is no fighting between the cats. We are happy to answer your questions about FIV. *

Rescue Me's Adoption Policy
Anyone who adopts is required to complete an adoption application. After we have confirmed their personal animals are well cared for and they have no criminal past, we set them up to meet the kitten. If the kitten and the potential adopter are a match we complete a home visit. The home visit reviews our policy and we make sure the home is prepared and safe for the cat. The adopter then signs a contract and pays fee. The adopter can then arrange for pickup.
