Sterling's Story

Say hello to the sweetie of your dreams...STERLING! STERLING is a strikingly handsome grey and white kitty with a super soft, plush coat. Our vet staff estimates STERLING to be a mature adult approximately between eight to ten years old.

STERLING has quite the rescue tale to be told! We first heard about STERLING when a kind, caring feeder had said she had started witnessing him losing weight and became concerned. The feeder knew the time to help him was now. The feeder noticed he would go to his food bowls as if very hungry, but then suddenly either yelp in pain or run away from the food after attempting to eat just one bite. STERLING was humanely trapped and urgently evaluated and assessed by our skilled vet staff. STERLING had a slew of issues upon intake including dirty ears, old scabs and thinning fur...the latter most likely caused by malnourishment. However, his biggest issue was indeed confirmed, and poor STERLING had extensive mouth issues/severe dental disease. STERLING would need to undergo a dental procedure to remove most of his compromised/fractured teeth to ensure he feel better and have the chance at a happy and healthy future life. We reached out to one of our amazing partner veterinary facilities who agreed to immediately get STERLING in for this important dental procedure. After a few days of much needed rest and recovery, consistent aftercare meds, and a soft food diet only...STERLING feels like a million bucks! STERLING is a doll of a cat! He rolls over and purrs whenever any of the volunteers come near his cage. He soaks up all the attention, affection and thoroughly enjoys being pet. STERLING adores his cozy cat bed and loves to nuzzle in it. This gentle, deserving soul has survived so much on his own in his former outdoor street life, now is his time to shine and have a second chance at a happy, healthy, safe and stable indoor-only life from now on with an amazing person or family who are ready to cherish this golden boy well into his senior years.

Neutered, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinated, FeLV/FIV tested negative, Flea prevention applied and Microchipped.

If you'd like to meet STERLING, or any of our adoptable cats or kittens, please fill out an Adoption Form found in the link: https://pawswatch.org/adoptions/
