Stella's Story

Meet Stella

Stella is an approximately four-year-old dilute calico with a sweet personality, a playful spirit, and an irresistibly adorable pudgy belly.

Stella’s story began when she was found near a local outdoor feral cat colony, where she appeared to have been dumped. Unlike the feral cats living there, Stella was clearly accustomed to people and indoor life. She was found pawing at a neighbor’s door, desperately trying to get inside, frightened and uncomfortable outdoors. From the very beginning, one thing was clear: Stella loves people. She was affectionate with humans right away and longed to be safe, warm, and close to someone indoors.

These days, Stella’s favorite things are simple: eating, playing, and being near her human. She’s the kind of companion who will follow you from room to room simply because she wants to be wherever you are. She’s an active, enthusiastic player who loves chasing tossed toys, batting at wand toys, and hanging out and playing in her little cat tent.

When she isn’t busy playing, Stella is a devoted window watcher. She enjoys sitting by the window, observing the world outside and soaking up warm patches of sunshine. She gets to experience the outdoors in the way she prefers—from the safety and comfort of her indoor home.

Stella tolerates being picked up and held, and as she builds trust and forms a deeper bond with her person, she may very well blossom into a lap cat. She is litter-box trained, has no known health concerns, takes no medications, and is an active, healthy girl. She also takes mealtime very seriously and especially loves her wet food!

The most important thing to know about Stella is that while she adores her humans, she does not like other cats. Stella needs to be the only cat in her home and must remain an indoor-only cat. For the right person, she will be a sweet, playful, affectionate, and devoted companion—a loving little cat who simply wants to feel safe and be close to her human.
