Starlight and Moonlight's Story

Starlight (female) and Moonlight (male) are a sweet, adorable and friendly bonded sibling pair of domestic short hair kittens. Their age is estimated to be about 9 months. Moonlight loves being picked up and cuddled, while Starlight prefers booping her nose against your legs often while investigating her surroundings. They both enjoy behind ear scratches, soft surface areas, lazy days staring outside windows, and evenings playing with their humans. They are socialized and get along well with both little kids and adults.

They were found last summer just inside the backyard of a Richmond family with young kids. They took them in to protect them from the elements and got them their first round of vaccinations. The vet estimated that they were about 10-12 weeks old. They couldn’t keep them forever though, and all reputable shelters in their area were at capacity.

A friend of that family’s here in MoCo offered to foster them till a forever home could be found. Her 4-year old named the girl kitten Starlight, for the white star patch on her chest, and the boy Moonlight, for his shiny jet black coat. They’ve received their second and final round of vaccinations, have been spayed / neutered, and have continued to love being around humans both big and small.

While these kittens are truly loved, this single parent family that already has a dog can’t keep them forever. We are hoping to find a local MoCo family to adopt them and give them their forever home ❤️

If you would like to meet this sweet kittens, please fill out an interest form: https://mcc3.wufoo.com/forms/r1nt6phc1x2444f/
