Stanley's Story

It's Stanley, the best cat ever! This sweet boy is about 11 years old and has not had an easy life. He came to us in October after a rough time on the streets. He was very sick and had just been attacked by a dog. We nursed him back to health, treated his issues and he has fully recovered. He is doing amazingly well and is feeling great! He's now a big, chonky boy who loves attention and snacks. He loves to bat around toys, headbutt your legs, and take long naps.

Stanley gets along well with other cats and is a very easy-going, grateful guy. All he wants is a home and family to call his own. He requests a quiet home with no dogs or small children.

Some medical things:
- Stanley has 0 teeth (and is loving it! No more pain!) He can eat dry and wet food normally, no special diet needed for him.
- He has chronic herpesvirus, a common condition in cats which has caused his eyes to take on a little damage that you may notice in his photos. He has good vision, but during flare-ups of this condition, he can sometimes experience weepy eyes and nose. Nothing a little tissue can't fix.
- Stanley *does not currently* have any problems with his heart, but he may be at risk to develop heart disease. He needs to see a cardiologist every year for an echocardiogram to assess his heart health. We're happy to explain this in more detail if you inquire about him!

If you're interested in this handsome, gentle big guy, please contact us directly. He would love to meet you! friendsofbearcatrescue@gmail.com
