Squire NM's Story

Meet Squire: Your Loyal Companion in Waiting

Age: ~1 year
Rescued in New Mexico
Special Note: FIV+ (but living life to the fullest!)

Squire takes his job as a guard kitty and a lap cat seriously!

He's Clean and very quiet: Intense bather and perfect litter box manners now that he has two litter boxes. He will make a mess of his litter box is not cleaned, I like doing it twice a day to be safe, He will make the cutest little chirrup when he sees you in the morning or as reminder he needs treats.

He's Fun: High energy! He needs a human who loves to play as much as he does. Ribbon toys are his jam. He likes to hide behind curtains and then leap at the ribbon like the attack cat he is.

He's Affectionate: Loves his people, loves chin scratches, and loves lap time, he will counter surf if you leave chicken lying around, he's very gentle when playing and may snuggle with you at night if the mood takes him.

He is a sensitive soul. He gets nervous around loud noises and chaos so a home without little kids maybe best for him. Because of his past and his strong preference for being the only furry royalty in the house, Squire would do best as your one-and-only pet. He's not a fan of other cats or dogs...he wants to be the center of your world (and we think he deserves that).

Squire does have FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but don't let that scare you off! FIV+ cats can live long, happy lives with a little extra care and regular vet checkups. He's currently healthy and thriving in a Foster home!

If you're looking for a loving, loyal companion who will reward your kindness with purrs, snuggles, and devotion, Squire might just be your perfect match. Please fill out an adoption application to be connected to his foster and meet this sweet boy!
