Spunk's Story
Spunk joined the Hermitage family in May of 2025 when his owner had to go into a memory care facility. Family had come from out of town and began advocating for a place for Spunk. Their story told us just how much he was loved with his owner and how much they wanted to find the right place for him.

When he first arrived, it was clear that he was stressed and confused. With the help of some decompression time and medication, he settled in nicely. He has since blossomed into a wonderful young man. We enjoy watching him navigate his new world.

He has a history of urinary issues but those issues were not clear so we ensured that he stayed in a room where he could be on a urinary friendly diet. Thankfully he has not had any urinary issues in his time with us. We are assuming he gets a condition called stress cystitis meaning his issues only arise when he is in stressful situations.

To find his next home, he will need a patient owner with a calm home to keep things as stable as possible. We know there is someone else out there who will love him as much as his previous owner did. Come meet this absolutely stunning boy in our Dietary and Diabetic Darlings room.
