Meet Spot

Occasionally, those who come in to STAF to adopt tell us they would like a cat that is dog-like. Although we are puzzled at why those folks would want a cat at all, Spot is a feline that perhaps meets that description if they are talking about a lab. He is big, handsome, friendly, gentle and even-tempered. And you gotta love that chocolate milk mustache! We also adore the color coordination of his amber eyes and tawny spots. Spot is the United Nations ambassador of cats: he harmonizes beautifully with absolutely everyone, adjusting instantly to the shelter and to the rhythm of life with the felines with whom he shares his room. His wonderful personality is coming forward more and more—Spot is super cuddly with people, swooning with affection and loving being held. He engages in play but is of moderate energy. He would make a perfect all-around family pet.

Spot is one of more than 15 cats that STAF took in from a rural Indiana shelter that was struggling with a hoarding situation. We chose him among those for STAF because he is FIV+, a manageable condition in which we specialize. Spot is healthy and has no other medical conditions beyond a more fragile immune system than your average cat that tests negative. If you provide excellent vet care, Spot should thrive in a forever home, where he can share his awesomeness in style.
DOB 2014

Cat adoption information and application can be found at www.staf.org.
All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn't work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or kittens! Please email Jean at jean@staf.org for more info. on adopting!
