We’ve got Spirit, yes we do! <br/><br/>Spirit has found her spunk since she arrived at EHS over two years ago. With the help of our dedicated volunteers, this girl has softened her scaredy cat ways and is now showing off her gentle, more confident purr-sonality.Now she and her meow mate, Julius, are house hunting for a loving forever home. <br/><br/>ABOUT SPIRIT<br/>- In foster<br/>- Spirit is a sweet, soft, and sometimes sassy girl. She will let you know when it is appropriate to look in her direction, or if it’s time for pets.<br/>- If you can’t find her she will likely be with Julius cuddling, chatting, or judging you from a cozy spot. <br/>- Spirit will enjoy a solo excursion at night, but usually after Julius has announced “the coast is clear” of the humans. <br/>- Originally skittish, she’s now a friendly, more relaxed cat but may play hide and seek if approached quickly or startled by loud noises. In all fairness, who wouldn’t run in these situations? <br/>- Spirit has the loudest purr—volunteers call it a pigeon purr—which not only tells everyone how happy and content she is, but also soothes the people and cats around her. And she purrs a lot!<br/>- Her loud purrs are a good sign for a full body pampering session. She loves to be pet, especially on her cheeks, forehead, and back. Expect a gentle head-butt if you try to leave before she’s dismissed you.<br/>- Her favourite “toy” is actually Julius, but she will play with wand toys every now and then.<br/>- She has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat but is not transmissible to humans or other species.<br/>- A cat with FIV may be overlooked, but with routine vet care and a loving home, cats who have FIV can live a long, healthy life.<br/>- Spirit is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and has received core vaccinations.<br/><br/>SPIRIT'S IDEAL HOME<br/>- Spirit enjoys the company of other cats, which helps her gain confidence.<br/>- Spirit is part of a bonded pair and MUST be adopted with her steady man Julius, who also has FIV.<br/>- She would benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children or dogs.<br/>- Spirit does not require medication for FIV but vet checkups twice a year are recommended.<br/><br/>We’ve got Spirit, how about you?
