Spigot - Winterville, GA's Story
Spigot? Like...a faucet? Really? Why on earth would you name a cat....you know what, we'll come back to that!

Meet Spigot (aka Spiggy Piggy): an adorable adult female who wants nothing more than to get pets, be lazy, and more or less become your shadow. She follows her fosters around wanting affection and trilling, and is just overall an exceptionally sweet kitty. She's not the biggest fan of other cats (mostly just grumbles), but does tolerate them well after settling in, so long as they give her space. She spends her days with one of her foster parent's personal cats, and while they occasionally get the zoomies together, they happily coexist just doing their own thing. Spigot would make a great companion animal for someone who just needs a snuggly soft pillow for a cat (she's suuuuper silky and tolerant...you could probably use her as a scream pillow, though we don't advocate for such things...), and doesn't need all the bells and whistles and energy of a kitten.

We realize in hindsight that a name like "Spigot" might send the wrong impression about being leaky. We don't mince words here, Spigot's name WAS earned, but a bit different than you'd think! Look, Spigot earned her name because as much as she loves pets, she's a happy drooler, and OH MY GOODNESS it was intense at first. Like owning a mastiff or a newfie after drinking a bowl of water! Just making eye contact would get the waterworks going! Once she calmed down and settled in, it is MUCH less frequent and way less intense, but the name stuck. She does still have her moments when she gets too excited, but the water works are rarely turned on these days. Come meet this happy gal today!

Adoption Application - http://fs17.formsite.com/cofas/catform/

All of our cats and kittens are fostered in homes so we know their personalities. They are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV, up to date on shots, microchipped, de-wormed, and on flea preventative. Our goal is to match our fosters with the best home possible.

The adoption fees for our felines are as follows: $150 for kittens (or 2 for $250); $100 for adult cats (or 2 for $170); and $75 each for our special seniors/FIV+ kitties. Please email cofaspets@gmail.com for more information.

Not yet ready to adopt? You can sponsor a pet now to help pay for medical expenses, special diets, toys and treats, emergency medical care, etc. Our adoption fee rarely covers our expenses, so any size donation is appreciated!
