Sparrow's Story
Special Diet - k/dDOB: 9/30/2012

Meet Sparrow!

Sparrow is an adorably scruffy 14-year-old gentleman who came to Colony Cats in December of 2024 all the way from West Virginia. Now this sweet senior boy is ready to settle into a cozy retirement home — or a loving foster family — where he can relax and enjoy life.

From day one, our volunteers have described Sparrow as a sweet boy who truly loves people. He’s a charming, curious kitty who enjoys attention but also likes quietly watching the world around him. Senior cats like Sparrow make wonderful companions — they’re past the wild kitten stage and are happiest simply relaxing with their people.

Because Sparrow is a senior, he does have early kidney disease, which is one of the most common health conditions in older cats. The good news is that many cats live comfortably for years with it when it’s properly managed. For Sparrow, that simply means eating a special kidney-support diet (k/d) and having routine veterinary checkups to help keep him feeling his best.

While Sparrow absolutely loves people, he’s not a fan of other cats and would do best as the only feline in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention.

If you're looking for a calm, affectionate companion to share your home — and your couch — Sparrow may be the perfect match. This handsome senior is ready to trade in his traveling days for a warm, loving home where he can enjoy the comfortable life he deserves.

Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**

Meet Sparrow!

Sparrow is an adorably scruffy 14-year-old gentleman who came to Colony Cats in December of 2024 all the way from West Virginia.
