Sox's Story

Hi, I’m Sox. I’m a big, sweet, laid-back guy with a gentle soul. I might be a little shy when we first meet—I like to take my time getting comfortable and figuring things out. New places and new people can make me pause for a moment. But if you’re patient with me, I promise I’m worth the wait. Once I feel safe, my true personality comes out: calm, affectionate, and quietly loving. I enjoy soft pets, peaceful companionship, and being near my people, even if I’m not always demanding attention. I’m the kind of cat who bonds deeply and rewards kindness with trust and loyalty. If you have a calm home, a little patience, and a lot of love to give, I think we could be a perfect match. I’m ready to come out of my shell—for the right person.

Adopting a pet at Foothills Animal Rescue is a simple process, and we have a dedicated staff of Adoption Counselors to help you through the procedure. How to adopt at FAR:  Currently under Covid 19 protocols You can view our pets online and make an appointment to meet them. Get to know our pets. Enjoy our meet and greet room where you can spend individual time to play, pet or just sit with them. Converse with our adoption counselors about our pets, our adoption process and what to expect during the first few days.  Some of our pets may need a family or dog introduction before able to adopt based on specific observations made at the sheer environment. Once you've decided to adopt, our pets are able to go home usually that same day. They are already neutered/spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.  Enjoy your lifetime of unconditional love.
