Sox's Story
Sox – A Shy Little Survivor Looking for Her Safe Place When Sox was only about four weeks old, the world was a very big and scary place. She was found hiding underneath an air conditioning unit, a tiny tuxedo kitten doing her best to stay safe. Thankfully, she was rescued and brought into the SARG program, where she has been able to grow up surrounded by care and kindness. Now about 11 months old, Sox is still a very shy girl. Life has taught her to be cautious, and she takes a little time to trust. But behind those timid eyes is a gentle soul just waiting for the right person to show her that she’s finally home. While people can still make her a little nervous, Sox finds comfort in the company of other cats. She gets along wonderfully with her foster companions—even though they are much bigger than she is—and watching them helps her feel more confident. And when the toys come out, her kitten side shines through. A rolling ball or dangling wand toy will quickly bring out her playful spirit. Sox doesn’t need a perfect home—she just needs a patient one. Someone willing to give her time, quiet reassurance, and the space to blossom at her own pace. The shy cats often form the deepest bonds, and the day Sox decides you are her person will be incredibly special. After such a fragile start to life, Sox deserves a home where she will never have to hide again—just a warm spot, a few toys, and someone who believes she’s worth the wait.
